We are looking for an experience structural steel and misc metals estimator for projects ranging from $5,000 to $2Mil. we're a leader in the ironworking industry, known for our high-quality work and commitment to excellence. If you have hands-on ironworking experience and are eager to expand into estimating and project coordination, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to determine the materials, labor, and time requirements for structural steel and miscellaneous metals. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, including material quantities, labor costs, subcontractor bids, and overhead costs. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project needs and scope. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing for materials and services. Analyze bid documents and determine potential risks, as well as suggest alternatives or cost-saving measures. Maintain and update cost databases for materials and labor to ensure accuracy and competitiveness. Provide value engineering and alternative solutions to meet budget constraints while maintaining quality and safety standards. Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations to clients. Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations. Track project progress and update estimates as changes occur during the project lifecycle. Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials and services to the job site. Assist in identifying project scope changes and their potential impact on costs and timelines. 9 Hour days
