Job Description Job Description Job Description The Civil construction estimator position must have a minimum of 5+ years experience as a civil construction estimator with DOT experience a must. The estimator will be responsible for estimating the cost of projects and materials as well as working with a variety of team members, including construction crews, purchasing agents, and other managers to determine how much it will cost to complete a project in a timely manner. This position requires a strong understanding of: Asphalt paving Site grading Earthwork Storm drainage Underground utilities Erosion control Concrete and site improvements Ability to read and interpret civil engineering plans and specifications Experience performing quantity takeoffs A candidate's key skills and qualifications include: Proficiency in math, statistics, data analysis, and analytical Strategic planning skills Familiarity with developing material and cost estimates for large projects Expertise with analytic tools, such as spreadsheets and project management software Strong computer, communication, and organization skills Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously If you are an experienced estimator looking to join a growing civil construction company, We'd love to hear from you.
