Estimator Company Description Located in Belleville, IL, Hank's Excavating & Landscaping, Inc. has been providing the St. Louis metropolitan area the best in quality, safety & service since 1978. We are a heavy-highway, civil contractor that does everything from complete road reconstruction and storm/sanitary sewer to water work and demolition. We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator for this posting. A Day in the Life In a typical day you can expect to be a part of the following: Interfacing with Owners, Subcontractors, Engineers and State and local government representatives Using bid estimating software to create bid proposals Procurement, coordination, delivery, and certification of materials via use of purchase orders Preparation and maintenance of project files Knowledge, Skills & Abilities The following skills and attributes would help ensure your success: Ability to read and decipher blueprints, plan scale and plan specifications Math skills to accurately apply formulas as they relate to concrete, asphalt, rock, dirt, etc. Communication skills (verbal and written) Computer Skills and ability to learn systems and programs Experience with HCSS software products is a plus, specifically HeavyBid, but not required Time management Eye for detail Critical Thinking Organization Benefits You will have a full suite of benefits offered to you, including: Competitive Pay (Starting package of $100,000 per year) Health, Dental and Vision Insurance Life Insurance Paid Time Off 401(k) and Profit Sharing Next Steps If the above is of interest to you and you want to join a fun, family-oriented team, that is improving the community, we invite you to apply today and we look forward to hearing from you!
