About Priority Commercial Doors & Hardware Priority Commercial Doors & Hardware is an established supplier of commercial doors, frames, and hardware based in Elgin, Illinois. We serve contractors and businesses throughout the commercial construction industry, providing material, estimating support, and responsive customer service. We are looking for a detail-oriented, dependable person to join our team as an Estimator / Inside Sales Representative. Prior experience in the commercial door and hardware industry is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong work ethic, communicates well, and is motivated to learn. Job Responsibilities Prepare quotes and material estimates for commercial doors, frames, and hardware. Review construction plans, door schedules, and specifications to determine material requirements. Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email. Follow up on outstanding quotes and help develop new sales opportunities. Process customer orders and coordinate with internal staff to ensure accuracy and timely fulfillment. Learn our products, pricing, and estimating processes through hands-on training. Build and maintain customer relationships through professional, responsive service. Maintain accurate records and follow through on customer requests and commitments. Occasionally visit local customers as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Professional phone and email communication skills. Good organizational skills and the ability to follow through on tasks. Basic math and measurement skills. Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel. Willingness to learn technical products and new computer systems. Confidence communicating with customers and an interest in sales. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as training progresses. Valid driver's license for occasional local customer visits. Industry experience is not required. We will teach the right candidate our products, estimating methods, and internal systems. Training and Growth Opportunities The first 3-6 months will focus on learning our products and processes, preparing quotes, and supporting existing customers. As your knowledge and confidence develop, you will gradually take on more responsibility for customer relationships and sales opportunities. The long-term goal is to help you grow into an independent sales role with responsibility for your own customer accounts. This position offers the opportunity to build technical product knowledge, develop sales skills, and establish lasting customer relationships. What We Offer Base salary of $45,000-$55,000 per year.
