Our client a commercial construction company based in the Acton/Boxborough area is looking for an Estimator to join their team on a direct hire basis as soon as possible. They are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to support preconstruction for commercial construction projects. Responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and coordinating with subcontractors, clients, and design teams. Ideal candidates have 2-3 years of commercial construction estimating experience and can manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the healthcare and life science industries would be a huge plus. Most of the work will be in MA stretching from Worcester and Boston. Public Renovation & Ground-Up Construction Responsibilities:

Conduct site visits to assess conditions and logistics Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents Prepare quantity takeoffs and manage Invitations to Bid (ITBs) Distribute plans, addenda, and RFIs to subcontractors Review and level subcontractor proposals for accuracy Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities Support budgeting and estimate updates

Qualifications:

2-3 years estimating experience in commercial construction Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Proficient with Excel, BuildingConnected, On-Screen Takeoff, and Bluebeam Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Knowledge of construction methods, materials, sequencing, and safety Excellent organizational and communication skills
