Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanical Foreman / Estimator to oversee field operations while also assisting with project estimating, planning, and customer coordination. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial piping, pumps, fluid transfer systems, manufacturing equipment installations, metal fabrication, and air-handling/ductwork systems . This position requires a strong understanding of industrial construction and mechanical installations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to read plans, develop estimates, and lead crews safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Field Foreman Duties Supervise and coordinate field crews on industrial mechanical and construction projects. Plan daily work activities, assign tasks, and ensure projects stay on schedule. Oversee installation of piping, pumps, and fluid transfer systems . Supervise manufacturing equipment installations , including equipment positioning, rigging, alignment, and connections. Oversee metal fabrication and installation projects. Coordinate air-handling systems and ductwork installations . Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications, and project plans. Ensure work is completed according to project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. Coordinate with customers, project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors. Monitor materials, tools, equipment, and manpower requirements. Troubleshoot field issues and provide practical solutions. Estimator Duties Review project plans, drawings, specifications, and scope of work. Prepare accurate estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Develop material takeoffs and determine manpower requirements. Estimate projects involving piping, pumps, fluid transfer, equipment installation, fabrication, air handling, and ductwork . Communicate with customers and vendors to obtain pricing and clarify project requirements. Assist with preparing bids, proposals, and project budgets. Identify potential project risks, additional costs, and scope changes. Work closely with field personnel and management to ensure estimates accurately reflect project requirements. Qualifications Previous experience as an Industrial Mechanical Foreman, Superintendent, Estimator, Project Manager, or similar role .
Strong experience with:
Piping systems Pumps and fluid transfer installations Manufacturing equipment installation Metal fabrication Air-handling systems Ductwork installation Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications . AutoCAD proficiency required. Strong understanding of industrial mechanical construction and installation practices. Ability to lead crews and manage multiple priorities. Strong estimating, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer-service skills. Ability to work independently in the field and make sound decisions. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and meeting project deadlines. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a hands-on industrial mechanical professional who can successfully transition between the field and the office. They should be comfortable leading crews, communicating with customers, reviewing plans, estimating projects, and solving technical problems in the field . Experience with industrial manufacturing facilities, mechanical contractors, fabrication shops, or large-scale construction projects is highly preferred.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
