Your New RolePrepare detailed project estimates using landscape, civil, and architectural plansPerform quantity takeoffs and verify project information as neededDevelop pricing for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and project logisticsUse Sage Estimating and digital takeoff software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or similar platformsRequest and evaluate vendor pricing and subcontractor proposalsCoordinate procurement planning and material buyoutsIdentify scope gaps, project risks, exclusions, and long-lead materialsSupport value engineering efforts and change order pricingMaintain estimating records, pricing databases, templates, and documentationWork closely with design, sales, procurement, and production teams to support successful project deliveryAssist with job costing and continuous improvement of estimating processes
Hiring Expectations:
Apply today, complete a quick phone screening, and get ready for an interview with our team to discuss your goals and experience.5 to 7 or more years of estimating experience in landscape construction, sitework, or a related construction tradeExperience estimating residential or commercial construction projectsHigh-end residential landscape construction experience is preferredExperience with digital estimating and quantity takeoff workflowsProficiency with Sage Estimating is preferredExperience using Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or similar software is preferredFamiliarity with Sage 300 CRE is a plusAbility to read and interpret landscape, civil, and architectural plans and specificationsExperience preparing detailed quantity takeoffs, project budgets, and procurement plansKnowledge of landscape construction methods, sequencing, and material procurementUnderstanding of hardscape, planting, grading, irrigation, drainage, lighting, trucking, and specialty subcontractor scopesStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple estimates and deadlines effectivelyStrong written and verbal communication skillsDetail-oriented with solid time management and documentation skillsAbility to visit project sites when necessaryReliable daily commute to the Far Hills, New Jersey officeThe Todd Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
