Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Estimator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for fire sprinkler systems on commercial construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure project budgets are realistic, materials are accurately priced, and client expectations are met or exceeded. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with talented professionals, and contribute to life safety solutions across the construction industry. Duties Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications related to fire sprinkler systems to determine scope of work and material requirements. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and other construction management tools to develop detailed cost estimates. Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best value for materials and services. Prepare comprehensive proposals including material costs, labor estimates, equipment needs, and project timelines. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates align with project goals and specifications. Manage multiple estimating projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. Monitor project budgets during execution to ensure cost control and identify potential overruns early. Skills Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Xactimate, and other construction management tools. Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents related to fire sprinkler systems. Excellent negotiation skills for sourcing materials and subcontractor services. Deep understanding of construction industry practices, especially in commercial fire protection systems. Experience managing projects as a construction estimator with a focus on cost control and budget management. Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite including Excel spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting. Knowledge of blueprint reading, material cost estimating, and estimating material requirements from technical drawings. Ability to review construction drawings thoroughly for accurate estimation of labor, materials, and equipment needs. Construction site experience preferred to better understand on-the-ground challenges impacting estimates. Pay:
$35.00 - $75.00 per hour
