Job Description
We are an established commercial electrical contracting company with the great reputation in electrical construction industry. We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Commercial Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. This position is responsible for for estimating commercial electrical projects from plans and specifications through bid submission. The ideal candidate will have background in commercial electrical estimating, understands project cost and profitability, communicates effectively with customers and field personnel, and can independently manage multiple projects while maintaining accurate documentation and company profitability. Responsibilities Review and interpret construction drawings, and blueprints to determine project scope and requirements. Develop detailed electrical cost estimates by analyzing material costs, labor hours, equipment needs, and subcontractor quotes. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to review contracts, scope changes, and project timelines. Conduct thorough reviews of construction documents to identify potential risks or discrepances that could impact costs or schedules. Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that clearly outline scope of work, pricing strategies. Track bid results and follow up on pending proposals Maintain accurate records of all estimating activities, including bid summaries, pricing databases, and contract documentation. Skills Skilled in material cost estimating, pricing strategies, and construction project budjeting. Negotiation skills to secure favorible terms with suppliers and subcontractors. Proficient in Microsoft Office for documintation. reporting, and communication purposes. Ability to review construction drawings thoroughly for accuracy and completeness. Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines. The compensation will be based on experience.
