People Source OKC is Hiring - Project Estimator (Commercial Concrete)
The ideal candidate understands commercial construction projects from the estimating side and can accurately review plans, prepare job submittals, determine project needs, and help ensure projects are properly estimated before work begins.
Job ResponsibilitiesReview and interpret commercial concrete construction plans, drawings, and specificationsPrepare accurate project estimates based on labor, materials, equipment, and project requirementsPerform quantity takeoffs and determine concrete and material needsReview project scope and identify requirements before preparing bidsAssist with preparing and submitting bids for commercial concrete projectsPrepare and manage job submittals and related project documentationReview specifications, addendums, and other bid documentsCommunicate with contractors, vendors, project managers, and internal teams regarding project requirementsRequest and review pricing for materials and subcontracted work as neededMaintain accurate estimating and project documentationTrack bid information, deadlines, and project requirementsAssist with transitioning awarded projects from estimating into project management and field operationsMaintain an understanding of project schedules, costs, and overall job expectationsRequirementsPrevious estimating experience in the concrete construction field requiredStrong understanding of commercial concrete projects and construction processesExperience reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and construction specificationsExperience completing construction takeoffs and preparing estimatesUnderstanding of job submittals, bids, and project documentationAbility to understand project scope, labor, materials, and job requirementsStrong computer skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to manage multiple estimates, projects, and deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsDependable, professional, and able to work independently.
