This is a full-time position Monday-Friday with some flexibility on work hours. The position will be open until it is filled. Compensation Compensation will be hourly. Pay rates start at $25 and go up DOE. Job Description A Customer Account & Estimating Agent is responsible for all communications with Customers while building and maintaining a professional company image. The Customer Account & Estimating Agent is responsible for estimating and quoting parts to Customers, for planning out how a part will be properly made and delivered to the Customer, and for maintaining good communication with Customers and staff. This person is also responsible for completing associated paperwork and for ensuring standard planning procedures are being followed.
- Estimates labor hours and material costs for manufacturing of proposal and contract activities
- Utilizes knowledge of pricing and estimating tools
- Works closely with staff to develop manufacturing labor hour estimates Works closely with staff and/or vendors to develop purchasing estimates Develops a consolidated priced bill of material for each part
- Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for planning, organizing and scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness
- Receives, enters, and acknowledges new purchase orders and purchase order changes
- Supports sales representatives and management with information and reports regularly and as required
- Creates new parts in ProShop and fulfills obligations to internal customers to proactively prevent work stoppages and friction per minimum obligations to project assignment task
- Follows system procedures for managing customer-supplied data and document control system with particular attention to revision control and potential contract changes
- Reviews POs for completeness, adherence to quotes, accounting credit terms, and more complex contract terms and conditions per contract review task
- Keeps customers aware of their order status when there are problems, completes program status updates in collaboration with project management, and upon request; facilitates date pushes and pulls where appropriate
- Supports the estimating process by logging RFQs (request for quotes) and copying documentation packages to document control, responds to customers, and manages the log to ensure commitments and customer requirement are met
- Sends out quotes to customers
- Continually improves the organization's level of customer satisfaction
- Receives phone calls and greets guests at the front desk as required as well as provides hospitality support for customer visits
- Understands and conforms to relevant areas of the Quality Manual, Quality Procedures, and Training
- Keeps work area clean and well organized
- Performs other duties or tasks as requested Skills Required
- Minimum education of High School Diploma with 2+ years of administrative or customer service experience
- Good Communication Skills, both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable working in a team environment, as well as independently
- Comfortable on a PC, particularly office productivity applications and web-based applications
- Drives continuous improvement
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time
- Attention to detail a MUST!
- Strong time management skills.
Must be able to prioritize work flow and meet deadlines
