Hey there, I'm Chris Hamlin, owner of Highland Ridge Remodeling. We've been remodeling homes in the Portland area for over 35 years, and the thing I'm most proud of isn't just our remodels, it's the team behind them. Many of our crew have been with us for over a decade, and that's because we invest in people, not just projects. We're currently hiring a Residential Remodeling Estimator. You'll work closely with our design and production teams to make sure everything is priced accurately and ready to roll. We specialize in kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and whole-home remodels, helping homeowners create spaces they can love for life. We're not just building homes. We're building lasting relationships. Since 1992, we've been growing steadily. Now, we're looking for an expert Estimator to help take us to the next level...to help elevate Highland Ridge, everyday. What You'll Be Doing As our Estimator, you'll be the bridge between dreams and reality. You'll help homeowners take their vision and turn it into a clear, buildable, and budget-aligned plan. You'll work closely with our design and production teams to make sure every project is scoped right, priced smart, and ready to roll.
Your day-to-day:
Estimating:
Create accurate estimates based off of plans.
Trade Walks:
Meet with trade partners in the field for project walk throughs.
Bid Collection :
Solicit trade partner bids for review and approval.
Material Quotes:
Obtain pricing on selected fixtures & materials.
Update Estimates:
Enter trade and material pricing into estimates.
Budget Meetings:
Lead and/or participate in budget meetings with homeowners.
Purchase Orders:
Award POs for materials & subcontractor bids.
Soft Schedules:
Create basic schedules to preplan for critical path items.
Documentation:
Create Job books and upload project documentation
Project Handoff:
Participate in project handoff to production team.
