Job Description

Electrical Estimator Build the Numbers Behind Some Incredible Homes. World Wide Stereo | Montgomeryville, PA | Full-Time World Wide Stereo is growing—and so is our Electrical Department. We are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator who knows electrical construction, understands how projects are built, and can turn plans and project requirements into accurate, profitable estimates. This isn't your typical estimating position. At World Wide Stereo, our electrical projects are often part of high-end residential environments that incorporate audio/video, lighting, home automation, networking, security, and smart-home technology . You'll work alongside our electrical, AV, automation, design, sales, and project management teams to make sure the electrical scope is properly understood and accurately priced from the beginning. What You'll Do Review electrical and architectural plans and project specifications. Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs. Develop accurate electrical estimates and customer proposals. Obtain and evaluate material and pricing. Determine labor requirements and project costs. Identify scope gaps, potential issues, and project risks before work begins. Price change orders and project additions. Coordinate electrical requirements with our AV, automation, lighting, and technology teams. Participate in site visits and project walkthroughs when needed. Work with builders, architects, designers, project managers, electricians, and our internal sales teams. Help develop consistent estimating and pricing processes as our Electrical Department continues to grow. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who has real-world electrical experience and understands more than just the numbers. You should be comfortable reading plans, understanding electrical installations, calculating material and labor requirements, and recognizing the details that can make or break a project estimate. You'll bring: 3+ years of electrical estimating, electrical contracting, project management, or related experience. Strong residential electrical knowledge. Ability to read electrical plans and construction documents. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong math and analytical abilities. Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office. Strong communication and follow-through. Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.
A plus if you have:
Electrical estimating software experience. Electrical license or significant field experience. High-end residential or custom-home experience. Knowledge of NEC requirements. Experience with lighting, automation, AV, networking, security, or smart-home systems. Construction takeoff or project management software experience. Why World Wide Stereo? You'll be joining a company where electrical isn't operating in a silo . Our projects bring together electrical, technology, design, and automation to create some of the most sophisticated residential environments in the region. We're building an Electrical Department that is an important part of our future, and this position will play a key role in that growth. If you're an experienced electrical estimator who enjoys the challenge of figuring out what a project really takes to build—and pricing it correctly , we'd like to hear from you.
