This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead project estimations, manage budgets, and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial construction estimating, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to managing project workflows. You will play a vital role in ensuring accurate cost projections, fostering client relationships, and supporting project execution with precision and efficiency. Duties Review construction blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately estimate material requirements and labor costs. Prepare detailed estimates using estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, or similar tools, ensuring all aspects of the project are accounted for. Manage project budgets by tracking costs, analyzing variances, and implementing effective cost control measures throughout the construction process. Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams through negotiation and clear communication to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms. Coordinate with project managers to develop comprehensive project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion within budget. Interpret construction drawings and technical documents to identify potential challenges or scope changes early in the process. Utilize construction management software and spreadsheets to organize data, generate reports, and facilitate seamless project documentation. Requirements Proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator within the commercial construction industry. Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Xactimate or similar platforms; strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel spreadsheets. Deep understanding of blueprint reading, construction drawing review, and interpreting technical specifications. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and vendors. Knowledge of cost management strategies including material cost estimating and cost control techniques. Construction site experience combined with a solid background in construction management practices. Familiarity with contracts, legal considerations in construction projects, and managing estimation for large-scale projects. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
