Designer/Estimator HBIH Holdings, LLC Draper, UT Job Details $22 - $25 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications Vendor relationship building 2D CAD drafting Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Summary This role is responsible for project estimating and designing Spacesaver solutions to initiate oreders. In addition, you will be providing costing for simple, moderate and complex product systems and providing support on applications of Spacesaver product to the sales and project management teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Participate in review/design process to evaluate client needs and determine scope of services required by client. Perform services as indicated on the Design Request (i.e., building shell, preliminary space plan, elevations, renderings, pricing, presentations, installation drawings, etc.). Communicate frequently with vendors and manufacturers to request quotes, current information, samples and other product information as needed. Organize and maintain files related to the proposal and ordering processes in central location. Update and maintain vendor information including contact information, discounting, terms, catalogs, literature, etc. Produce complete, accurate, on‑time specifications and cost estimates using current specifying programs, standards, and procedures. Supply this data along with other relevant information, paperwork and special instructions for proposal generation. Review all drawings, samples and related information with Account Managers prior to client meetings. Compile product costs, vendor quotes, freight estimates and installation budgets to produce accurate project estimates and pricing. Finalize and generate copies of all necessary drawings required for installation (i.e., equipment plan, elevations, details etc.). Organize drawings to ensure they are current and reference ready at all times. Maintain up‑to‑date and accurate design hours records according to current department standards.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Associate Degree in drafting, engineering or architecture 1-3 years of experience with drafting/CAD work in a corporate setting is required (2D CAD experience is required/3D modeling preferred) Strong technical aptitude skills are a must Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, professional attitude, and an ability to work under pressure are essential. Physical Requirements Primarily sitting at a desk using a computer to do job tasks.
