City Concrete Corp has been a concrete subcontractor in the DMV for over 30 years. Based in Manassas, VA, our 150+ person team performs commercial and residential concrete for general contractors across DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. Our strength is foundations and ground-level work: footings, CIP walls, slab-on-grade, and civil site concrete. Our reputation for competitive pricing and reliable field execution keeps us on the short list for GCs in the DMV market. We have a strong, active bid pipeline and we're looking for a Senior Estimator to lead our commercial estimating and help us keep winning the right work. The Role This is a core position at City Concrete Corp, not a support role. You'll own the commercial estimating process end to end, working alongside our project managers, field superintendents, and in-house engineers. You'll have the tools, the team, and the pipeline. We need someone who has led estimating before and is prepared to run with it from day one. What You'll Do Lead takeoffs and pricing across the concrete scopes we perform: footings and foundations, CIP walls, SOG and flatwork, and civil site concrete Review bid documents, drawings, and specs to define scope, flag risks, and decide which projects make sense for us to pursue Review and level quotes from suppliers and lower-tier subs (rebar, forming, pump, etc.) Attend pre-bid walks across the DMV when required. A company vehicle with gas covered is provided for this role Build and maintain relationships with GC estimating contacts in the DC, MD, and NoVA market, including following up on submitted bids and negotiating scope and contract terms Manage a consistent flow of bids in the $500K to $5M range with accuracy Collaborate with PMs and supers during estimate-to-field handoffs to make sure what was priced is what gets built Maintain and improve unit cost databases, production benchmarks, and bid history What You Bring 7+ years of commercial concrete estimating experience Proven track record pricing commercial concrete: foundations, CIP walls, SOG, and site concrete Experience with the GC-driven bid process on commercial work Strong communicator who can defend a number, negotiate with GCs, coordinate with PMs and field staff, and hold relationships over time Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software. PlanSwift is what we use, but we're flexible Ability to read and understand structural drawings and specs Familiarity with the DMV construction market Familiarity with Procore or similar PM platforms What We Offer $130,000 to $180,000 base salary, DOE Annual bonus Full benefits: medical, dental, vision 401(k) with company match Company vehicle with gas covered Hybrid schedule.
