Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role is essential in ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on schedule, contributing to the overall success of our construction operations. Responsibilities Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for construction projects. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimating. Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam and Sage Estimating to create detailed estimates. Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather data for cost analysis. Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids. Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle of the project to maintain cost control. Prepare and present detailed reports on estimates to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and transparency. Skills Proficiency in construction estimating techniques and methodologies. Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices. Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail in reviewing plans and specifications. Ability to effectively negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors. Familiarity with project management tools and software. Experience using Bluebeam and Sage Estimating for estimating purposes is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
