Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator/Sales professional to join our team and drive the success of our construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates and supporting sales efforts within the construction industry. Your expertise will help ensure competitive pricing, effective cost control, and seamless project execution. Duties Review construction drawings and blueprints to accurately interpret project requirements and material needs. Analyze material costs, labor rates, subcontractor quotes, and equipment expenses to create project budgets. Prepare detailed estimates that align with client expectations while maintaining profitability. Manage the estimation process from initial review through bid submission, ensuring all aspects of the project are accurately completed. Collaborate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate contracts, scope of work, and pricing terms. Monitor project costs with the team throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgets and implement cost control measures as needed. Manage change orders to reflect scope adjustments or unforeseen conditions. Develop and maintain relationships with local home builders, contractors, and construction professionals Identify and pursue new builder accounts and partnership opportunities Introduce builders to our company, services, quality of work, and capabilities Schedule and conduct in-person meetings with builders and construction companies Present our company professionally and confidently to potential new clients Skills Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with clients and subcontractors. Extensive knowledge of construction management software platforms such as Procore or Viewpoint. Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings. Expertise in estimating material requirements from blueprints and managing project budgets effectively. Solid understanding of construction industry standards, contracts, project management principles, and cost control strategies. Construction site experience that provides insight into on-the-ground realities affecting estimates and project execution. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on building trust through transparency and professionalism with potential new builders and clients.
