In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring and wall tiles across residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Your expertise will contribute to transforming spaces with precision and craftsmanship, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize a wide range of tools and techniques, and grow your skills within the construction industry. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to determine tile layout and installation procedures. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or primers for optimal tile adhesion. Install various types of flooring including ceramic, porcelain, vinyl, hardwood, epoxy floors, and carpet with accuracy and attention to detail. Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and lay tiles according to specifications. Perform floor refinishing, water damage restoration, and floor care tasks to ensure long-lasting results. Apply caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and cabinet installation as needed for complete project finishes. Follow all building installation safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment while adhering to local codes and regulations. Skills Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, chisels, levels, saws; and power tools including drills and tile cutters. Knowledge of flooring installation techniques including tile laying, vinyl floor installation, hardwood floor installation, epoxy floor installation. Strong manual handling skills for lifting heavy materials safely during installation or restoration projects. Familiarity with building material installation standards in the restoration industry as well as general remodeling practices.
