In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and refinishing a variety of flooring materials to meet client specifications and industry standards. Your expertise will help create beautiful, durable floors that enhance the functionality and aesthetic appeal of residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Responsibilities Measure, cut, and install a wide range of flooring materials including hardwood, vinyl, tile, carpet, epoxy coatings, and laminate with precision. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate installation aligned with project requirements. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and repairing subfloors or existing flooring to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for cutting, shaping, and securing flooring materials. Perform floor refinishing tasks such as buffing, sanding, sealing, and water damage restoration to restore or enhance existing floors. Follow all safety protocols related to construction site work, including proper handling of building materials and adherence to building installation safety compliance standards. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high standards of quality. Experience Proven experience in flooring installation across various materials such as hardwood, vinyl, tile laying, epoxy floors, and carpet installation. Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or schematics for accurate project execution. Hands-on experience with drywall installation, caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, concrete finishing, remodeling projects, and water damage restoration is highly desirable. Familiarity with building material installation techniques within the restoration industry or general construction site experience. Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely while maintaining a focus on quality workmanship. Prior experience in floor care maintenance including buffing and refinishing floors to extend their lifespan.
