Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Flooring Installation Helper to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will assist experienced flooring installers in preparing and installing various types of flooring materials, ensuring high-quality results and safety compliance. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while contributing to the transformation of residential and commercial spaces. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of work sites, including clearing debris and setting up necessary tools and materials for flooring installation projects. Support skilled installers in laying vinyl, hardwood, Luxury Vinyl tile, carpet, and other flooring materials according to project specifications. Handle manual tasks such as measuring, cutting, and fitting flooring materials using hand tools and power tools with precision. Participate in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans to facilitate accurate installation. Aid in the removal of old flooring during renovation or restoration projects, including water damage restoration and floor refinishing tasks. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly after each shift. Qualifications Prior experience in construction or remodeling is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn on the job is essential. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, drywall, caulking, trim carpentry, and fixture installation is advantageous. Physical stamina to perform manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy materials, standing for long periods, and climbing ladders safely. Knowledge of building material installation techniques including vinyl floor installation, tile laying, hardwood floor installation, and carpet installation. Commitment to following construction site safety protocols and building installation safety compliance standards. Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward assisting others on-site during remodeling or restoration projects.
