In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing windows and glass fixtures across residential, commercial, and remodeling projects. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets quality standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine installation requirements. Handle glass materials carefully, including cutting, fabrication, and installation of windows, glass panels, and related fixtures. Use hand tools and power tools safely to remove old windows, prepare openings, and install new units efficiently. Perform heavy lifting of glass materials and window units while adhering to safety protocols. Install doors, fixtures, metal stud framing, and other remodeling components as specified in construction plans. Apply caulking and sealants to ensure weatherproofing and energy efficiency of installed windows. Conduct quality control measurements during installation to verify proper alignment, fitment, and finish. Collaborate with team members on construction site activities, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to safety standards. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly. Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and glass handling equipment for precise installation tasks. Experience with window installation, glass materials handling, fabrication, and fixture setup. Skilled in dimensional measurements for quality control during all phases of installation. Background in construction site work with experience in remodeling projects or handyman tasks. Ability to lift heavy materials safely while maintaining proper posture and safety practices.
