This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship and jobsite safety. The ideal candidate has experience with glass installation, aluminum framing systems, windows, doors, storefronts, shower enclosures, and related glazing components. As a working lead, you will guide installation crews, mentor junior team members, and work closely with project managers and other trades to ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications to accurately install windows, doors, glass panels, framing systems, and related fixtures. Measure jobsite conditions and verify dimensions to ensure proper fit, alignment, clearances, and installation tolerances. Handle, transport, and position glass and construction materials safely throughout installation. Perform glass preparation, cutting, fabrication, and installation as required by project specifications and equipment capabilities. Install windows, doors, glass panels, aluminum framing, storefronts, curtain walls, and related glazing components with precision and secure fitting. Safely and efficiently use hand tools, power tools, fabrication equipment, measuring devices, and glazing installation equipment. Perform door hanging, hardware installation, metal framing, caulking, sealing, and finishing work as required. Conduct quality checks to verify dimensions, alignment, secure fastening, weather-tightness, and finished appearance. Assist with jobsite layout, material staging, and preparation of tools, equipment, and installation materials. Coordinate heavy lifting and glass placement using appropriate equipment, assistance, and safety procedures. Lead and support installation crews, provide direction to team members, and help train and mentor junior installers. Communicate with project managers regarding job progress, material requirements, installation issues, and unexpected site conditions. Collaborate with coworkers, project managers, and other construction trades to maintain efficient workflow and meet project deadlines. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all company safety policies, applicable OSHA regulations, and jobsite safety requirements. Skills & Qualifications Experience in commercial and residential glazing installation. Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, shop drawings, and technical drawings. Knowledge of glass materials, handling procedures, fabrication processes, and glazing installation techniques. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, fabrication equipment, metal framing, and fixture installation. Experience installing windows, doors, glass panels, aluminum framing systems, and related glazing components. Ability to take accurate field measurements and perform dimensional quality-control checks. Knowledge of door hanging, door hardware, caulking, sealing, and finishing techniques. Ability to safely handle heavy glass and construction materials using appropriate equipment and procedures. Previous experience leading crews, coordinating installation activities, or mentoring other installers. Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Commitment to safety, efficient work practices, and high-quality craftsmanship. Ability to meet the physical requirements of glazing installation, including lifting, bending, standing, and working at heights when required and properly equipped.

Pay:

$30.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
