Job Description

California Energy Consultant Service (CECS) is hiring an experienced Siding Installer to join our team as a full-time, direct employee. This is not a subcontractor position. We are an established Sacramento-area home improvement company serving homeowners since 1981. We specialize in exterior remodeling and energy-efficient home improvements and are looking for a skilled installer who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, communicates well, and wants the stability and benefits of being part of a professional team. What We Offer Full-time, year-round employment Competitive piece-rate compensation Paid holidays Paid Time Off (PTO) Medical benefits 401(k) with 4% company match Consistent work with an established local company High-quality residential remodeling projects Support from an experienced production and office team Responsibilities Removal of existing siding Installation of siding, trim, soffit, fascia, and related exterior products Installation of James Hardie, LP SmartSide, and other siding products Residential window and door installation, including retrofit and new-construction applications Proper flashing, waterproofing, weatherproofing, and moisture-management details for siding, windows, and doors Working around windows, doors, rooflines, and other exterior conditions Identifying and communicating dry rot, framing issues, water intrusion, and other unforeseen jobsite conditions Executing and documenting approved onsite change orders Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe jobsite Following manufacturer installation requirements and company standards Communicating professionally with homeowners, project managers, and office staff Completing projects with strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship Using company technology, including CRM systems and CompanyCam, to review job information, document project progress, upload photos, and communicate jobsite updates Accurately documenting work completed, project conditions, change orders, and job details throughout the project What Will Make You Successful in This Role Previous residential siding installation experience Window and door installation experience Experience with James Hardie and/or LP SmartSide Strong understanding of siding installation, flashing, trim, waterproofing, and weatherproofing techniques Knowledge of proper window installation and flashing methods Self-motivated and comfortable working independently with limited day-to-day supervision Enjoys working autonomously while still being part of a larger production team Motivated by performance-based, piece-rate compensation and the opportunity to earn based on productivity Takes ownership of projects and follows them through to completion Able to identify jobsite issues, make sound decisions, and communicate when additional direction is needed Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for CRM software, CompanyCam, photos, and job documentation Dependable, punctual, organized, and professional Comfortable working from ladders and at heights Able to safely use standard siding, window, and construction tools Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Able to safely perform the physical requirements of residential construction work Schedule Full Time - Monday through Friday Work is primarily performed at residential jobsites throughout Sacramento and the surrounding areas. Compensation Piece-rate compensation based on the type and scope of work performed.
