Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Glass & Window Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass and window systems across various projects. Your expertise will ensure high-quality craftsmanship, precise measurements, and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your technical skills and construction experience to deliver outstanding results that enhance building aesthetics and functionality. Responsibilities Measure window openings and glass panels accurately using dimensional measurement tools to ensure proper fitment. Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine installation specifications. Handle glass materials carefully, employing proper techniques for cutting, fabrication, and assembly to meet project requirements. Install windows, doors, fixtures, and related hardware with precision, including hanging doors and mounting frames. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, fastening, caulking, and sealing installations. Perform heavy lifting of glass panels and materials while maintaining safety protocols on construction sites. Conduct quality control checks during installation to verify measurements, alignment, and finish quality in accordance with project standards. Skills Strong understanding of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret construction plans. Proficiency in blueprint reading, technical drawings, and interpreting detailed specifications. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, levels, saws, as well as power tools like drills and grinders. Experience with glass materials handling—including cutting, fabrication, installation, and safety procedures. Knowledge of window installation techniques along with door hanging and fixture installation skills. Construction site experience with a focus on safety practices related to heavy lifting and working at heights. Familiarity with metal stud framing, drywall installation, caulking techniques, and general handyman skills for comprehensive project support.
