Position Overview As a Blind and Shade Installer, you will install window coverings in customers' homes and businesses throughout Sioux Falls and nearby areas. This role requires practical problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality results. Our installers are often the face of Atlas Installers to our customers. Professional communication, respect for customers' properties, and a positive customer experience are essential. Previous installation experience is preferred, but we are open to capable individuals with strong hands-on skills who are willing to learn. Responsibilities Install blinds, shades, shutters, and other window coverings according to job specifications. Take accurate measurements and ensure proper fit and function. Use hand tools, power tools, and ladders safely and effectively. Review work orders and installation instructions before beginning work. Troubleshoot installation challenges and identify appropriate solutions on-site. Communicate professionally with customers throughout the installation process. Protect customers' homes and businesses and maintain a clean work area. Complete assigned jobs accurately, efficiently, and to a professional standard. Travel to customer locations throughout Sioux Falls and surrounding areas. Qualifications Previous experience in window covering installation, construction, carpentry, or a related hands-on trade is preferred. Willingness to learn and develop installation skills. Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment. Able to work safely on ladders and lift and handle installation materials. Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills. Professional communication and customer service abilities. Dependable, organized, and capable of managing assigned jobs independently. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Willingness to travel to job sites throughout the local service area. Compensation and Work Availability Estimated weekly earnings of $200-$800, depending on completed jobs and available work. Compensation based on completed installation jobs. Part-time, project-based opportunities. Flexible scheduling based on available jobs and contractor availability. Year-round opportunities, depending on customer demand.
