Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Insulator to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, insulating, and maintaining mechanical systems across various construction projects. Your expertise will ensure that systems such as HVAC, piping, and ductwork are properly insulated to optimize energy efficiency, safety, and durability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with skilled professionals, and contribute to building high-quality infrastructure. Candidates must demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude, safety consciousness, and the ability to interpret technical drawings. Duties Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine insulation specifications and installation procedures. Install insulation materials on pipes, ducts, HVAC systems, and other mechanical components following project plans and safety standards. Use hand tools such as knives, cutters, trowels, and power tools safely to cut, shape, and secure insulation materials. Climb ladders and scaffolding safely to access elevated work areas for insulation installation. Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents during insulation work and power tool operation. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure insulation work meets quality standards and project timelines. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed throughout the project lifecycle. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge related to insulation materials and installation techniques. Experience with construction estimating and reading blueprints or technical schematics. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely on construction sites. Ability to interpret technical drawings related to HVAC systems, piping layouts, or metal framing. Knowledge of building insulation installation methods including foam board, fiberglass batts, spray foam, or stucco systems. Familiarity with safety protocols including ladder use, power tool safety practices, and site hazard awareness. Basic math skills for measuring materials accurately and following specifications precisely. Construction site experience with a focus on insulation installation or related trades such as carpentry or drywall finishing. Excellent communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration. Ability to climb ladders or scaffolding comfortably while maintaining safety standards. Pay:
