Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic MIG Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations primarily using Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding techniques to assemble and fabricate metal components. Your expertise will ensure that all projects meet safety standards, technical specifications, and quality expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction and manufacturing projects, contributing to the creation of durable, precision-engineered metal structures and components. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine welding requirements. Prepare materials by measuring with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure precise cuts and fits. Set up welding equipment according to project specifications, including selecting appropriate wire feed settings for MIG welding. Perform welding operations using MIG (Gas Metal Arc Welding) techniques, ensuring strong, clean welds that adhere to AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and metal materials. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols related to construction site work, metal fabrication, and welding procedures. Conduct quality inspections of welds using calipers, measuring instruments, and visual checks to verify compliance with technical standards. Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks such as ductwork installation or mechanical fabrication projects on construction sites or in shop environments. Skills Extensive construction site experience with a solid understanding of safety protocols and site-specific requirements. Proficiency in MIG welding along with experience in shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), TIG welding, and FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding). Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately for precise fabrication work. Strong mechanical knowledge including the use of calipers, micrometers, measuring tapes, and other measuring instruments. Familiarity with shop math necessary for measurements, calculations, and fabrication processes. Experience working with sheet metal fabrication, ductwork assembly, and metal materials of various types. Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to metal fabrication and construction projects involving structural steel or similar materials. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, soldering equipment, and machining tools efficiently. Commitment to adhering strictly to safety standards while handling heavy machinery or working at heights on construction sites. Pay:

$19.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
