Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structural Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding operations on structural steel components used in construction and manufacturing projects. Your expertise in various welding techniques, blueprint interpretation, and metal fabrication will ensure the integrity and safety of our structures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and craftsmanship to deliver top-quality results while adhering to strict safety protocols. Responsibilities Read and interpret detailed mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding specifications and procedures. Perform welding operations using MIG (Metal Inert Gas),and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) techniques in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes. Measure and mark metal materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise fabrication. Set up and operate power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape sheet metal and structural components. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols, including proper handling of gas metals arc welding equipment, gas cylinders, and power tools. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring quality standards are met through meticulous inspection of welds and fabricated parts. Qualifications Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, and SMAW. Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints accurately. Experience with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication. Familiarity with construction equipment such as forklifts. Knowledge of safety protocols specific to welding environments; adherence to OSHA standards is essential. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brakes, and machining equipment. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings for mechanical fabrication tasks. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
