Job Summary As a Foreman Ironworker , you will lead and supervise a crew of ironworkers in the erection of structural steel for commercial projects. You will be responsible for ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and planning skills, along with a solid understanding of structural steel erection practices. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage field crews in the erection of structural steel frames, beams, columns, and connections. Coordinate daily work activities, ensuring productivity goals and project schedules are met. Enforce and model strict adherence to all company and OSHA safety standards. Read and interpret blueprints, erection drawings, and field plans to ensure accurate installation. Conduct safety meetings and ensure proper use of PPE and fall protection systems. Oversee rigging, crane signaling, and safe load handling practices. Inspect completed work for accuracy, alignment, and compliance with specifications. Manage jobsite documentation, including daily reports, timecards, and material tracking. Assist in problem-solving, field adjustments, and ensuring on-time completion of milestones. Requirements Minimum 6 years of experience in structural steel erection, with at least 3 years in a leadership or foreman role. Proficient in reading and understanding structural drawings, erection plans, and weld symbols. Strong knowledge of rigging, crane operations, and fall protection systems. Ability to lead and motivate teams while maintaining productivity and safety standards. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel to California and Nevada as needed. Must have valid certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, Fall Protection, Rigging). Welding certification (preferred, not required). Compensation Competitive hourly or pay commensurate with experience. Benefits package including health insurance, and retirement plans. Per diem and travel pay when working out of state.
