Necessary skills include; measuring, layout, MIG, TIG, Stick welding, grinding/blending/sanding as aspects of detailed finishing, as well as some patina experience. Attention to detail, and willingness to learn preferred methods is a must. In addition to shop fabrication practices, experience on a jobsite installing railings, stairs, and other architectural elements is crucial. This position is full-time, Monday through Friday. Pay is commensurate with experience, and will be discussed during interview. Standard Metal Works is an architectural metal fabrication shop in Boulder, specializing in, but not limited to railings, stairs, gates, custom furnishings, structural steel and public installations.
