Job Description
We are looking for Fitters and Welders to join our structural steel manufacturing team. We have opportunities for candidates with solid welding experience as well as experienced fitters with stronger fabrication and layout skills. The work involves fitting, assembling, and welding structural steel components according to shop drawings and production requirements. Position and pay will be based on experience and demonstrated skill level. What You'll Do Fit, assemble, and MIG weld structural steel components. Read and follow shop drawings and production specifications. Measure, position, and align steel for proper fit-up. Inspect completed work for accuracy and weld quality. Use welding, cutting, grinding, and other fabrication equipment. Work safely around cranes, material handling equipment, and other shop operations. Maintain a steady workflow while meeting production and quality expectations. What We're Looking For Welding or structural steel fabrication experience. MIG welding experience. Ability to read a tape measure accurately. Ability to pass a weld test. Ability to work safely and productively in a manufacturing environment. Dependable attendance and consistent work performance. For fitter-level consideration, experience reading shop drawings and fitting structural steel assemblies is preferred.
