We partner with hotel and senior living clients who value consistency, professionalism, and strong relationships, and we're looking for a Commercial Metal Framing Carpenter who shares those values and takes pride in precise, dependable work. As a Commercial Metal Framing Carpenter, you will support active renovation projects by laying out and installing metal framing systems that reconfigure interior spaces, create new partitions, and accommodate doors, ceilings, soffits, and building systems. You will work closely with field leadership and other trades to complete work safely, accurately, and on schedule. This position is a 6-month temporary position , with the potential for long-term employment that would require traveling to other Hawaiian Islands. What You'll Do Read and interpret architectural drawings, demolition plans, and structural specifications Lay out, measure, cut, and install light-gauge and heavy-gauge steel studs, tracks, and furring channels Frame commercial walls, acoustical ceilings, bulkheads, soffits, and specialized openings Install framing for hollow-metal doors, windows, security access panels, and other project-specific features Coordinate framing with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other trades Work around existing building systems in active hotel and senior living environments Use laser alignment tools, powder-actuated fasteners, metal chop saws, screw guns, and other trade tools safely Build fire-rated and sound-rated assemblies in accordance with plans, codes, and manufacturer requirements Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow OSHA standards and site safety requirements Communicate clearly with field leadership and team members to keep work accurate and on schedule What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in commercial metal framing, renovation, and/or tenant-improvement work Ability to read plans, complete accurate layouts, and work from project specifications Strong knowledge of steel-stud framing methods, commercial building codes, fire-rated assemblies, and sound-rated partitions Proficiency with laser alignment tools, powder-actuated fasteners, metal chop saws, screw guns, and related equipment Ability to coordinate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and other trades Commitment to safe work practices and compliance with OSHA and job-site requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work safely from ladders, scaffolding, and scissor lifts Dependable, self-motivated, and attentive to detail A respectful, team-centered approach and willingness to work in occupied hospitality environments Why Elements?
