Essential Personnel is hiring a Shop Technician in the Ainsworth, NE area ! This full-time opportunity is perfect for dependable individuals who enjoy working with tools and want to grow their skills in a manufacturing environment. You ll help build and assemble livestock handling equipment while gaining valuable experience with welding, fabrication, shop equipment, and more. No previous experience is required our client is willing to train the right candidate who brings a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn!

Shop Technician Responsibilities:

Assist with fabrication and assembly of livestock handling equipment Operate shop equipment including grinders, drill presses, band saws, hydraulic hose machines, and other power tools Assist with welding, cutting, grinding, and metal preparation tasks Safely move and position materials using forklifts and overhead cranes Perform minor equipment repairs and quality inspections Follow safety procedures and production standards Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Assist with additional manufacturing and production duties as needed

Shop Technician Requirements:

Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work Manufacturing, welding, fabrication, or production experience is a plus, but not required Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety Dependable, motivated, and reliable attendance Positive attitude and strong work ethic Benefits for
