Our Marine organization is a trusted provider of innovative solutions for the worldwide boating and boat building industry, and we recently expanded our scope to lead the boating industry into an electrified future. Dometic has won numerous NMMA Innovation Awards over the years, and we are always striving for new ways to make boating easier, safer, and more enjoyable. Dometic Marine's facility in Sparta, TN produces roto-molded fuel and ballast tanks and other roto-molded products for industrial applications. The site manufactures marine furniture, aluminum tanks, blow-molded portable tanks, and sanitation systems. This Sparta facility also produces marine mechanical steering, controls & cables. We are on a journey of continuous growth - now looking for our next star - a passionate Mold Shop Maintenance . This position reports to the Mold Shop Lead and will work in Sparta, TN. About the position As Mold Maintenance of the Sparta team, you will be responsible for repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining production molds to ensure they operate in like-new condition. This role involves diagnosing mold issues, performing minor modifications, welding (TIG, MIG, and Stick), reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and operating mold shop equipment. You will also support inventory tracking, maintain a safe and organized work environment, follow all safety procedures, and help ensure quality and production standards are met. Your Main Responsibilities Ability to repair molds to a "like new" condition. Identify problems with a mold from looking at a part. Perform slight modifications to a mold component. Ability to make welds using TIG, MIG, and Stick welders. Operating heavy equipment (Shear and Break Press). Reading and understanding blue prints. Use measuring equipment (Caliper and Micrometer). May be assigned to perform other duties as requested. Responsible for housekeeping in the mold shop. Ensure that standard procedures are followed for work instructions, safety, and quality and report any violations to a supervisor. Responsible for reporting any deviations with welders, shear, break press, and other associated machines to the mold shop supervisor. Reporting to supervisor when stocked inventory items are getting low. Responsible for tracking materials used per job. Assure that all equipment is operating safely and properly. Know locations and function of safety switches. Know alarm system and evacuation plan. Know location of nearest fire extinguisher. What do we offer? Ability to occasionally lift heavier weights from 30 to 50 pounds. Occasionally required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, and smell.
