In this vital role, you will be responsible for interpreting detailed blueprints and technical drawings to accurately assemble, install, and fabricate structural components. Your expertise in welding, measuring, and metal fabrication will ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and precision. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to guide fabrication and assembly processes Measure, cut, weld, and assemble metal components using various welding techniques including
MIG, TIG, FCAW
(Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and stick welding in accordance with AWS standards Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment, and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math calculations to ensure precise fabrication Fabricate sheet metal structures and components with attention to detail while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards Interpret technical drawings accurately for proper assembly and fabrication of metal materials Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety procedures related to welding, machining, handling metal materials, and use of power tools Requirements Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings related to structural steel or metal components Hands-on experience with welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and gas metal arc welding Ability to operate measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other shop math tools for precise measurements Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding, machining, working at heights, and handling heavy materials Familiarity with construction experience involving assembly of structural elements on-site or in shop environments Mechanical knowledge of metal materials including sheet metal fabrication and mechanical blueprint interpretation Experience with plasma cutting, machining equipment, power tools, hand tools, and fabrication shop practices Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for successful project completion Join us now if you're ready to bring your skills into a thriving environment where your expertise makes a real impact!
