Job Duties:
This position reports to the Ellis Bus Repair, Coffield, or Powledge Metal Fab Facility depending upon the vacancies, on a daily basis. Duties will include advanced work in the installation of aluminum stadium seating and various other products at state agencies, public schools, cities and other agencies and institutions. It will involve the overseeing the work of inmates to ensure efficient installation of various products and supervising the inmates.
You'd be a GOOD fit if:
You have eighteen months of experience in chain link or ornamental fence installation, or three years of production or manufacturing experience. You should have experience in the supervision of inmates and must have, or be able to obtain, a Class A CDL with E or L restrictions through the Texas Department of Criminal Justice within 120 days of your employment dateYou'd be a GREAT fit if:
You have knowledge of quality control standards needed to maintain satisfactory production levels, along with an understanding of metal fabrication and related procedures. You communicate clearly and effectively, ensuring your ideas and instructions are understood by staff, administration, and vendors. You apply strong problem¿solving skills and can interpret and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Additionally, you hold welding certifications earned through completing 30 semester hours, which can qualify as one year of experience.
