Job Description
Danzer Veneer , a leading hardwood quality company with locations in 10 countries around the globe, are looking for a Log Yard Assistant for our Production and Custom Cutting facility in Edinburgh, IN who can be available for 1st shift . We are looking for a talented individual with a suitable background that wants to work in a dynamic, respectful and collaborative environment.
Pay:
$16
•$18 per hour
Schedule:
Monday
•
Friday:
7am
•3:30pm: hours can vary slightly based on need.

SUMMARY:
Assisting with preparing, grading and organizing logs for sales. Learning all duties in the Log Yard to be able to fill-in.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: (Other duties may be assigned by management) Preparing logs for sale Grading and organizing loads Tallying logs and uploading on the computer Operating machinery to move logs, load containers Selecting logs for resale on the main yard Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or GED required Chainsaw operations Front end loader experience Log/forestry experience a plus Microsoft Excel proficiency
