PM Status:
Permanent, long-term year-round employment (non-seasonal) Position Overview We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Recycling Sorter to join Team Green. In this role, you will be responsible for manually separating recyclable materials on a sortation line while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
Note:
This is a safety sensitive role and must be able to pass background and drug test.
Key Responsibilities Sorting Operations:
Manually sort recyclable materials (paper, plastics, metals, cardboard) as directed by line leads based on designated sorting positions.
Speed & Accuracy:
Maintain proper hand speeds to efficiently pick and separate high volumes of recyclable materials.
Safety & Compliance:
Strictly adhere to company written safety guidelines and complete all required Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Housekeeping:
Keep personal workspace clear of trip and fall hazards; assist with daily warehouse cleaning and maintenance.
Teamwork:
Move to different areas of the sortation system as directed by supervisors and communicate effectively with co-workers and management.
Physical & Working Conditions Physical Demands:
Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and climbing throughout the shift. Ability to frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
Exposure to varying noise levels, temperature changes (hot/cold), moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and dust. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required and provided. Benefits Benefits eligibility begins after 60 days of continuous employment:
