Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic underground construction team as an Underground Laborer! In this vital role, you will be an essential part of excavation, tunneling, and infrastructure projects beneath the surface. Your energy and dedication will help drive forward complex projects that shape communities and improve infrastructure. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment where every task contributes to building something lasting and impactful with opportunities for growth. Duties Assist with excavation and trenching activities using hand tools and machinery under supervision. Support the installation of underground utilities, such as pipes, cables, and conduits, ensuring precise placement according to project plans. Maintain a clean and organized worksite by removing debris, excess materials, and ensuring safety barriers are in place. Follow all safety protocols diligently, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to site-specific safety procedures. Collaborate with team members to load and unload materials, tools, and equipment needed for daily tasks. Assist with site inspections to identify hazards or issues that could impact safety or project progress. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks. Qualifications Ability to perform physically demanding work in confined or underground environments. Prior experience in construction or labor-intensive roles is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Strong work ethic with a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork. Basic understanding of construction tools and equipment operation is a plus. Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively in a team setting. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Valid driver's license required, CDL is a plus. Bi-lingual preferred but not required.
