2989941807-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Cargill is seeking a Mining Associate to support safe, efficient extraction and handling of raw materials for our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will operate and monitor mobile and fixed mining equipment, perform routine inspections, and assist with basic maintenance to minimize downtime. You'll collect material samples, conduct quality checks, and accurately document production data. Working closely with operations and maintenance teams, you will follow strict safety, MSHA/OSHA, and environmental standards while contributing to reliable supply for Cargill's global food and industrial products. Responsibilities Operate and monitor mining and material-handling equipment safely and efficiently Perform routine equipment inspections and assist with basic preventive maintenance Collect material samples and perform basic quality checks to meet specifications Record production, quality, and equipment data accurately in logs or systems Follow MSHA/OSHA, environmental, and Cargill safety standards at all times Support housekeeping and 5 S standards in mining and processing areas Communicate equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisors and maintenance Collaborate with production and logistics teams to meet daily output targets Required Skills Mining operations Heavy equipment operation Industrial safety procedures Equipment inspection Basic mechanical maintenance Sampling and quality testing Reading technical documentation Lockout/Tagout procedures Environmental compliance awareness Basic computer and reporting skills
