Job Description

Job description JENNMAR Services is a staffing company specializing in employee placement for the energy industry. We are currently seeking both Experienced and Inexperienced Underground Coal Miners for the Carbon and Emery County areas in Southeastern Utah. ( Scofield, Orangeville, Emery and Salina areas.) Positions available: New Underground Miners Experienced Underground Miners Underground Mine Examiners (Utah Fire Boss and/or Utah Mine Foreman Certification - required ) Mine Mechanics Mine Electricians (MSHA Electrical Certifications - preferred )
Compensation of Underground Miners:
These are full-time positions with competitive salary and benefits available. $26-$36 per hour DOE and Certifications or call (435) 637-9300. Basic Job Positions / Duties of an
Underground Coal Miner:
Continuous Miner Operators Roof Bolt Operators Shuttle Car Operators Longwall Miner Operators All tasks associated with Development Sections and Retreat Mining Sections Belt installation and removal Fan and Power moves Cleaning / Shoveling Belt entries Setting Timbers and building Cribs Building Stoppings and Seals Electrical and Mechanical repairs Other laborer duties as required Job Requirements for
Underground Coal Miners:
Inexperienced Miners require MSHA 32 Hour New Miner Training. (Provided if necessary) Experienced Miners require MSHA 8 Hour Annual Refresher Training within the last 12 months. (Provided if necessary ) High school or equivalent. (Preferred) Ability to work well in a team environment. Valid Driver's License. Ability / willingness to work Rotating Shifts (Required) Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check. Physical Requirements for
Underground Coal Miners:
Ability to work up to 12 hour shifts, both days or nights Ability to routinely lift 50 lbs. Ability to kneel, bend and stoop down for prolonged periods of time. Ability to perform all work tasks safely. Ability to work free of any medications, OTC drugs, or other supplements that could impede concentrations, focus, judgment, or observation of working saftely.
Safety:
All duties and responsibilities must be conducted in a safe, clean and productive manner. It is a requirement to comply with all Health and Safety requirements established by MSHA, Local and State Laws, JENNMAR Services and the Mine Site. Schedule Rotating of Morning, Evening and Graveyard shifts (required)
