Job Description

About the Role As a Heavy Equipment Specialist, you will play a vital role in site development and infrastructure maintenance by operating a diverse fleet of industrial machinery. You will ensure project success through precise material handling, excavation, and expert rigging operations, directly contributing to the efficiency and safety of our field operations. Responsibilities Operate heavy machinery including bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, and road graders to execute excavation and site preparation tasks. Execute complex rigging operations in strict compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. Perform comprehensive pre-operational inspections on all equipment to ensure peak mechanical performance and safety. Conduct minor field repairs and routine lubrication to minimize downtime and maintain fleet readiness. Interpret grade and slope specifications to ensure accurate project execution. Support site logistics by managing material transport and assisting with equipment relocation. Qualifications Required Skills Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with at least 2 years of documented experience. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience operating heavy industrial equipment. Proven background in sanitary and storm sewer excavation, as well as road construction. Proficiency in operating forklifts with capacities up to 32,000 lbs. Ability to obtain OSHA 10 certification within 90 days of hire. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment. Preferred Skills Current Hazardous Materials, Tank Vehicle, or Passenger endorsements. Direct experience with crane operations and rigging. Background in airfield flight line operations or snow removal services. Experience with refuse collection and specialized site maintenance.
