Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our landfill operations team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to manage waste materials efficiently and safely. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining environmental compliance, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and supporting sustainable waste management practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, utilizing mechanical skills and equipment operation knowledge to support responsible landfill operations. Responsibilities Must acquire pre-employment prescreening, physical exam, drug and alcohol screen testing and background check. Must acquire Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) 1A license within (1) year of employment. Must acquire ADEQ 2B license within (1) year of acquiring a 1A license and maintain licensure for the duration of employment.

• Required Practical Test will be given prior to employment on knowledge and experience on operating the Bulldozer, Excavator (track hoe), Articulated Dump Truck, and Compactor.

Essential Job Function:

Operates heavy earthmoving equipment such as bulldozers, track hoe, articulated dump truck, compactors to excavate, load, transport dirt, gravel, and other material to compact and cover solid waste materials in compliance with Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) regulations.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively operate heavy equipment in an Efficient manner.
• Ability to safely operate tools and all landfill equipment.
• Excellent knowledge of Landfill procedures and compliance issues.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, kneel, and/or climb for prolonged periods of time.
• Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds with regularity and up to 100 pounds on occasions and must also carry these weights for short distances and handle bulky materials.
• This position will be working primarily outdoors.
• Employees will work in all types of weather including heavy rain and below freezing temperatures with snow conditions .
• Employees will be exposed to work around moving equipment, loud noises, and may be exposed to dust and/or fumes at jobsite.
• Ability to do daily maintenance to all landfill equipment, such as blowing out all filters, checking all fluids and filling up when needed, cleaning the tracks on the dozers and track hoe, and keeping all equipment and trucks clean.
• Must be able to follow instructions from supervisor and complete each task given.
• Ability to work with other employees as a team.
