Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Equipment Operator to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will operate a variety of construction machinery and heavy equipment to support utility installation projects. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality work on active construction sites. Responsibilities Operate construction machinery such as skid steeres, backhoes, excavators, and water trucks to perform site preparation, excavation, material handling, and infrastructure installation. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Follow all safety procedures and occupational safety regulations while operating heavy machinery to prevent accidents and injuries. Use hand tools and hydraulics systems for minor repairs or adjustments on equipment as needed. Assist with material handling tasks using appropriate equipment like roll-off trucks or dump trucks to transport materials efficiently across job sites. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities for accountability and compliance purposes. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while adhering to strict safety standards. Requirements Proven experience operating construction site machinery such as skid steeres, backhoes, excavators, and other heavy equipment. Valid driver's license with experience driving and/or backing up trucks with trailers attached. Knowledge of construction machinery maintenance practices and hydraulic systems. Familiarity with construction site safety procedures including PPE use and OSHA regulations. Ability to perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs using hand tools; mechanical knowledge is a plus. Strong understanding of occupational safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation. Construction experience involving underground utilities or infrastructure projects is highly desirable. Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 50.0 per week
