Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Asphalt Roller Operator to join our civil infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy paving equipment to ensure smooth, durable asphalt surfaces on various construction projects. Your expertise in construction machinery operation, maintenance, and safety protocols will be vital in delivering high-quality paving results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale infrastructure developments while working in a dynamic and safety-conscious environment. Duties Operate asphalt rollers and paving equipment with precision to achieve optimal compaction and surface quality. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on construction machinery, including rollers, loaders, excavators, and concrete mixers, ensuring all equipment functions efficiently and safely. Assist with asphalt paving, concrete pouring, finishing, and forming tasks to support overall project goals. Follow safety regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards to maintain a safe work environment on construction sites. Coordinate with team members to execute concrete pumping, rebar installation, screeding, and other related tasks for civil infrastructure projects. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and project progress. Support site operations by operating dump trucks, commercial vehicles, and other heavy machinery as needed. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as asphalt rollers, excavators, loaders, and dump trucks. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance on paving machinery and other construction equipment. Familiarity with bituminous materials used in asphalt paving and concrete materials for various applications. Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA standards and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations applicable to construction sites. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements, quantities, and project specifications. Experience working on civil infrastructure projects involving paving, concrete finishing, rebar installation, and site preparation. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or equivalent certification preferred; experience with commercial truck driving is a plus. Good understanding of construction site protocols including concrete forming, screeding techniques, concrete pumping, and equipment maintenance practices. $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
