Job Description
SUMMARY Responsible for operating mining equipment in the pit. Operates mobile mining equipment and adheres to all plant, and quarry procedures. Other job duties as assigned from time to time. Post-offer physical, drug screen, and lifting evaluation are required.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate mobile mining equipment.
- Monitor and troubleshoot equipment.
- Perform general housekeeping.
- Ensure quarry adheres to safety and environmental rules.
- Recommend, review, and assist in implementation of improvement projects.
- Identify process deviations and perform root cause/corrective action.
- Conduct equipment pre-shift, and area inspections.
- Control and operate mobile equipment such as loaders, water truck, excavator, and hammer as assigned by direct supervisor.
- Observe gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- Notify maintenance of repairs needed. Conduct area inspections.
- Control and operate equipment such as Bobcats, trucks, crushers, and forklifts, as assigned by direct supervisor.
- Handle materials and ensure equipment is accurately stacking and silos are adequately storing finished goods.
- Observe gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
