Primary Responsibilities Operate excavators, loaders, skid steers, skip loaders, and other heavy equipment. Perform safe excavation techniques, including benching and sloping. Dig safely around existing underground utilities. Complete daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance. Read and follow project plans and specifications. Troubleshoot equipment issues. Work closely with supervisors and crew members to maintain safety and productivity. Keep records of equipment use and inspections. Required Qualifications At least 2 years of heavy equipment operating experience. Experience with underground utility or similar construction work. Ability to operate multiple types of heavy equipment. Knowledge of excavation safety and OSHA standards. Ability to read construction plans. Valid driver's license and applicable equipment certifications. Preferred Qualifications Underground utility construction experience. Safety or equipment operation certifications.
