Forklift Operator Job Summary:
Our ideal candidate has experience with the safe operation of skid loads, forklift and material handling to successfully meet the company's standards of safety, productivity and security. The candidate must be able to accurately receive material, capture required information and complete necessary documentation. Experience in the food manufacturing industry a plus. Candidate must also be able to operate a skid loader with multiple attachments. Experience in the operation of a Yard Truck moving trailers is a plus. Company will provide on the job training.
Work Schedule:
Current shift hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm. Monday thru Friday. Plant hours of operation are 24/5 Monday thru Friday, Weekends and Holidays as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform all tasks in a safe manner in compliance with safety programs and procedures. Continually mount and dismount the equipment being operated. Requires sure footing and balance due to the potential of a slick environment. Perform routine preventative maintenance and maintain cleanliness of equipment. Previous experience with operating forklifts and material handling equipment required. Forklift certification preferred, but not required. Must be able to pass the companies forklift certification. Operate a forklift, skid loader, and miscellaneous equipment as needed to complete duties. Maintain your work areas and facilities properly. Situational awareness is a must do when working around heavy equipment and machinery (good vision and hearing)

High school diploma or GED degree with related experience. You must have reliable transportation to be available for your scheduled work hours. Minimum three verifiable personal references
Physical Demands and Requirements:
This job can be physically strenuous from time to time. You will be expected to be able to work in tight and or confined spaces, walk, climb, bend, kneel, lift, grip, grasp, push and pull various tools and equipment. You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more. This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders and work at varying heights from time to time. The handling of dry materials creates a dusty environment from time to time. Majority of the shift is spent on one's feet moving in and around the work area. Conditions reflect the current season in and around the plant. Must be comfortable with a drug screen and background check.
