Snow Equipment Operator - Commercial Snow & Ice Management Mountain View Landscape LLC Join the Mountain View Team Mountain View Landscape LLC is a professional landscape company providing commercial snow and ice management services throughout the winter season. We are currently seeking dependable, experienced Snow Equipment Operators to join our winter operations team. Snow and ice management is weather-driven and requires flexibility, commitment, and teamwork. When winter weather arrives, our clients rely on us to keep their properties safe and accessible—and we rely on our team to get the job done safely and professionally. Position Responsibilities As a Snow Equipment Operator with Mountain View Landscape LLC, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating snow-removal equipment on commercial properties while meeting our standards for quality, safety, and professionalism. Depending on the property and assignment, equipment may include wheel loaders, skid steers, compact loaders, tractors, pushers, plows, and other snow-removal equipment .
Responsibilities include:
Safely operating assigned snow-removal equipment during winter weather events Clearing snow from commercial parking lots, roadways, loading areas, entrances, drive lanes, and other assigned areas Operating snow pushers, plows, buckets, and other snow-removal attachments Pushing, stacking, relocating, and managing snow according to site-specific plans Following assigned site maps, snow storage plans, and property-specific instructions Working efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Maintaining awareness of vehicles, pedestrians, buildings, curbs, islands, light poles, landscaping, loading docks, and other property features Monitoring changing site and weather conditions throughout the shift Communicating with supervisors, plow drivers, sidewalk crews, and other team members during snow and ice events Performing basic pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections Immediately reporting equipment problems, property damage, hazards, or safety concerns Following all company safety procedures and site-specific requirements Representing Mountain View Landscape LLC professionally while working on customer properties What We Expect From Our Team Work Performance & Job Knowledge Demonstrates accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to complete assigned work efficiently. Operators must understand their equipment, maintain awareness of their surroundings, and work carefully around vehicles, buildings, curbs, landscaping, light poles, loading docks, and other property features. Teamwork Maintains an upbeat and dependable attitude. Demonstrates the ability to cooperate and communicate effectively with supervisors, plow drivers, sidewalk crews, other equipment operators, and all members of the snow operations team. Professionalism Acts professionally and treats co-workers, supervisors, clients, and others with respect. Takes pride in representing Mountain View Landscape LLC and maintaining the quality of work our clients expect. Attendance & Dependability Snow and ice management requires dependable employees. Operators must be available when winter weather occurs, report for scheduled shifts on time, and communicate any absence, delay, or schedule change as soon as possible. Safety Safety is a priority at Mountain View Landscape LLC. Operators are expected to operate equipment responsibly, maintain situational awareness, attend required safety meetings, and follow all company safety policies and procedures. Qualifications & Requirements Previous experience operating loaders, skid steers, tractors, or similar heavy equipment preferred Previous commercial snow and ice management experience preferred Ability to safely operate snow-removal equipment and attachments in winter conditions Ability to understand and follow site maps, snow plans, and operating instructions Ability to safely maneuver equipment in commercial parking lots and around fixed obstacles Ability to sit in and operate equipment for extended periods of time , including during long-duration snow and ice events Ability to remain in equipment for extended periods while operating, monitoring site conditions, or awaiting further instructions Willing and able to work 10+ hour shifts as needed Available for early mornings, evenings, and overnight shifts Available to work weekends and holidays when required Comfortable working outdoors and operating equipment in winter weather conditions Ability to remain alert, focused, and safety-conscious during extended shifts and snow events Dependable transportation to and from the assigned reporting location Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures Strong communication skills Dependable, professional, and team-oriented Ability to lift 75lbs Understanding Snow & Ice Management Snow and ice management is weather-dependent work . Storms do not follow a traditional work schedule, so operators must be prepared for changing start times and shifts that may occur during nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Snow events may also require extended shifts depending on the duration and severity of the storm. Operators may spend significant periods of time inside their assigned equipment during an event.
